Lifestyle: Vampire Culture

There's something terribly erotic about the new Rolling Stone.

Dark sided types have long lusted over these creatures of the night, whatever their sexual orientation. Most vampire stories are hypersexual in nature, which helps.

"To me, vampires are sex," says 'True Blood' head writer Alan Ball. "I don’t get a vampire story about abstinence. I’m 53. I don’t care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed."

Meanwhile, Alexander Skarsgard refuses to wear a sock during nude scenes, saying, "I don't want a sock around it, that feels ridiculous. If we're naked in the scene, then I'm naked. I've always been that way."
(Jump into bed with Alex here)

p.s. I know I'm always shamlessly self-promoting, but if you give a shit check out Blood Lust: Erotic Vampire Tales, which features a tale by yours truly.

I love this show and I can't figure out why.
It's not particularly good, I don't really care for buff white dudes, and sophomoric vapid female leads make me want to physically hurt someone but still I tune in.

I'm equally confused by my own fascination with the show (although I'm only watching on NetFlix, so I'm behind). You are right in that it is not particularly great, yet satisfying. Alex is HOT (imo) but not featured enough to watch just for him. Not upset I can't watch the new season as it comes out, yet looking forward to watching it as soon as I can get my hands on it. Must be glamored!

Hold on you two back up the bus. The show is HOT. Full of lust, sex and sex and hot men. What more can you ask for. I almost swallowed my tongue when I saw the rolling stones mag and I am going to go buy it as soon as I type this. Thanks Wes for posting that.

P.S. Yeah, "Sookie" needs to die. Soon. Like next episode.

Maybe I'm the only one who likes Sookie. I find her to be strong in a very quiet way, yet other times she's a very typical scripted chick (lost without a man). I don't think the show is bad,. It is satisfying but not particularly genius story telling.
