Seriously. This is a real thing. Dog yoga even has a cute little nickname "doga," although I think that sounds stupid when said out loud. People should think about these things before coming up with condensed names for stuff.
The idea of working out with your pet isn't so unusual actually, even though this looks kind of cray cray. People take their pet for walks, runs and hikes all the time. We play call with them and my cat love to chase beams of light. It's fun for everyone!
"The idea is not necessarily to stretch your pet to the limits, but rather to let them be involved in as much of your life as possible."
Taking a class with other people in the room and allowing photographs may be taking it too far, but to each their own. Everyone should find something in life that makes them happy, or whatever.
Truth time: I do think it's totally cute when my cat joins me on the yoga mat when I workout at home.
The only pose she knows, however, is lounge.

Dry-humping your dog under the guise of exercise is totally unacceptable. If you're attending "doga" you have bigger problems than thunder thighs.
My cat does downward dog pretty well. But it's usually right after cat-napping and right before getting up to cause some mischief.
